The 16th Annual Iowa Narcotics Officers’ Association (INOA) annual training conference will be held beginning on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, and run through Thursday, March 25th, 2021. The conference will be held at the West Des Moines Marriott located at 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, IA. Our conference is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your products and services to law enforcement personnel, prosecuting attorneys, and other members in associated career fields who will recommend, purchase, and use your products and services.
The 15th annual INOA Conference was held in late March, 2019, with approximately 298 members in attendance from Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Minnesota, California, Illinois, and Colorado. With the world events of Covid-19 we were unable to hold our conference in 2020, but are excited for 2021.
A vendor area will be open for display beginning on Monday, March 22nd 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in order to allow you to meet and display to INOA members as they arrive during the early registration period. (The vendor area will be open for setup by noon.)
Registration for conference attendees will continue on March 23rd from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at which time the conference will begin.
The vendor area will then reopen on Tuesday, March 23rd and Wednesday, March 24th from 7:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
Training on Wednesday, March 24th, will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 5:00 p.m. Training on Thursday, March 25th will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude before 4:00 p.m. You are welcome to stay through the conclusion of the conference on Thursday, March 25th. The Vendor Room for this conference will be located directly next to our main conference meeting room. We will be handing out a “vendor bingo card” to all conference attendees to be stamped by attending vendors. (If you are a new vendor please email me your high-quality logo so it can be applied to the bingo card). We have also designated a time for vendor presentations where you will introduce yourself and your products to INOA attendees. This is set to take place on Tuesday during lunch between 11:30 am and 12:45 am. The vendor room will also be secured when the vendor area closes. This will allow for the vendors to leave their display areas set overnight if they desire.
Again this year, we will add to the INOA website a link to all vendors’ websites. Your link will be add to our INOA website (www.iowanarcs.com) following the conference. As our way of trying to help you help us, we have continued the cost for an exhibition space at the 2021 INOA Training Conference at $100 per table. Electricity is available; however, you will be required to supply your own extension cords, multi-plug connectors, or any other specialized equipment that you will need. Vendor spaces will be filled on a first come, first served basis. This rate is available until 03-01-21. Special room rates for INOA Conference attendees are $102 per night (single/double). Room reservations can be made by calling the West Des Moines Marriott at (515) 267-1500 and using the code: INOA2021.
We would also like to invite you to join us in our hospitality room following registration on Monday and after the conclusion of training on both Tuesday and Wednesday. There is an opportunity to sponsor or co-sponsor the hospitality room as well as sponsoring conference lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday. Throughout the conference, INOA will be having door prizes and drawings. We would greatly appreciate your generous contributions toward this effort, which also provides yet another opportunity to promote your company, products, and services. All forms of contributions to INOA will be appropriately recognized.
With uncertain times and COVID-19 we reserved an alternate date of June 15th- 17th for conference dates if for some reason restrictions would be in place and our conference wouldn’t be able to take place in March.
It’s our understanding the INOA conference will be the first narcotics conference held across the US for calendar year 2021. We are extremely excited about this opportunity and hope that you will join us as the first. If you have joined us in the past, we certainly hope that you will join us again in 2021. If you have never been with us, we certainly hope that you will take this opportunity to join us for the first time.
