HISTORY OF INOA

Dear Vendors:

The Iowa Narcotics Officers Association (INOA) is excited to announce there will be new happenings during the coming year! Our 6th Annual INOA Training Conference will be held beginning on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, through Friday, April 2, 2010, at the West Des Moines Mariott located at 1250 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, IA. Our conference will remain an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your products and services to men and women in law enforcement, particularly drug enforcement and associated career fields who will recommend, purchase and use your products and services.

The 5th Annual INOA Training Conference was held in late March of 2009 with approximately 110 members in attendance from Iowa, Oklahoma, & Illinois. Unfortunately, we encountered several conflicts and, with economic times as they are for all of us, the number of vendors in attendance was down. We hope your experience in the past has been both beneficial and enjoyable. Your continued support and presence with us is extremely valuable to the membership and greatly appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE the slightly adjusted time frame and new location for this conference. As some of you are aware, we have had several conflicts that impinged upon the ability of our members to attend past conferences. Although no time frame has been found to be perfect, this time frame was chosen after lengthy discussions with our members, our vendors and our new hotel host. We hope that we have found a time when you will not have multiple obligations and will be able to join us. We are also excited by the opportunity to hold our 2010 Training Conference at the West Des Moines Mariott. It’s a beautiful facility and we’re confident you will find it very much to your liking.

A vendor area will be open for display beginning on Tuesday, March 30, 2009, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, in order to allow you to meet and display to INOA members as they arrive during the early registration period. (The vendor area will be open for setup by noon. The secured vendor room will then be available for final setup after 5 PM.) The vendor room will then reopen on Wednesday, March 31st and Thursday, April 1st from 7:00 AM until 5: 30 PM. Registration for conference attendees will continue on Wednesday, March 31st, from 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM at which time the conference will open. Training on Thursday, April 1st, will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude at 5:00 PM. Training on Friday, April 2nd, will begin at 8:00 AM and conclude before 4:00 PM. You would certainly be welcome to stay on through the conclusion of our conference on Friday, April 2nd. The Vendor Room is significantly more spacious than in the past and, at the 2010 Training Conference, all training will take place in our adjacent main conference meeting room. We invite you to come as early as you would like and stay as long as you are able.

Optional Bonus: Again this year, free of charge, we will add to the INOA website a link to all vendor’s websites. Your link from our new INOA website (www.iowanarcs.com) will be added following the conference. If you have the opportunity and the interest, please take a few minutes to visit our website. Our hope is that you will find it informative, convenient, and useful. Also note that this information as well as a registration form are available under the Vendors tab.

As our way of trying to help you help us in these difficult times, we have reduced the cost for an exhibition space at the 2010 INOA Training Conference to ONLY $100 per table. Electricity is available, however, you will be required to supply your own extension cords, multi-plug connectors or any other specialized equipment that you will need. Vendor spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Special room rates for INOA Conference attendees are $79 per night (single/double) plus tax. (This rate is available until 3/1/2010.) We would also like to invite you to join us at our hospitality room following registration on Tuesday and after the conclusion of training on both Wednesday and Thursday. There is the opportunity to sponsor or co-sponsor the hospitality room, as well. Throughout the conference, INOA will be having drawings and door prizes. We would greatly appreciate your generous contributions toward this effort, which also provides yet another opportunity to promote your company, products and services. All forms of contributions and support to INOA will be appropriately recognized.

If you have been with us in the past, we certainly hope that you will join us again in 2010. If you have never been with us, we certainly hope you will take this opportunity to join us for the first time.
